It will not be an exaggeration to say that Yahoo.com is a whale, and it provides a whole palette of IT services. They started as one of the pioneers of the Internet era in the 1990s.
It was founded by Jerry Yang and David Filo in January 199, incorporated on March 2, 1995 and is currently owned by Verizon Media.
The company is based in Sunnyvale, California. It’s hosting offers date back to 2015.

Support and Other Features
In general, the company’s image and the impression it provides on the Internet are positive. Yahoo is mostly referred to as a stable and reliable web hosting, with almost no downtime.
Yahoo, being such a huge and multi-functional company covers its support option well. They have a variation of support options, including a phone number.
Well, there have been found some negative reviews on the Internet as well: some say they have to wait for weeks and months for their projects to go live. However, judging by our data with regards to their performance, such cases are highly unlikely.

Yahoo behaved perfectly in all aspects in 2018. It occupies the 1st place in our 2018 top 10 list with 9.7 HRank rating in 2018.
We have been monitoring Yahoo’s performance for a pretty long period and can definitely say that it is one of the best web hostings on our list in terms of uptime. There were only two so-to-say downtime periods from June to December 2018 – both, not more than 99.476% (June 9, 2018, and August 13, 2018), and several (5) with downtime not more than 99.784%. For the rest of the period, the provider’s performance was impeccable. Compared with many other well-known providers on our list (their charts don’t look so bright), this is saying something.
Pretty much the same can be said about the response time: starting from the middle of June, 2018, till December 2018 it was 305 ms on average (and the slowest time of 521ms on June 14, 2018). Moreover, it was more or less stable – staying in the range of 200ms – 500ms. Surely, we saw faster average response times in our charts, but not all providers can boast such stability (which is frequently much better than speed.)
Yahoo had the same number of Shared IPs* for the entire monitoring period – 21; however, the number of websites declined slightly if compared with the summer statistics. It is not clear why as we can vouch for this provider and objectively say that its top position and positive reviews are the deserved.
For the past six months it never failed to make it to top 10 (and top 3, specifically.) And if this is not the reason to trust Yahoo with any project, then, there we can hardly find a better one.
