Another piece of the EIG conglomerate mosaic, PowWeb.com was founded in 1999 and was reportedly acquired by the industry giant in 2006.
We say “reportedly” because their own website does not state it was sold to another company – there is no information about it on their company overview page. Instead, they say they “stand on their own two feet”.
Besides, their Press Room has not been updated since 2005, so it appears their website is outdated not only in terms of design but also in terms of information. The footer has 1999-2018 copyright, though.

As to feedback, it leaves much to be desired: there is the usual it-used-to-be-good-but-went-downhill story with such details as poor customer support, billing issues (charging despite account cancellation, etc.), and technical problems.
And this is the surprising part, at least to us.

Well, either independently or as a part of a larger company, PowWeb.com was fairly good: 8.6 HRank and the 23d position in 2018 and 8.8 HRank and 8th position (TOP 10) we would recommend them for a try.
We have been monitoring the provider since August 2018 and it was fairly ok in 2018 and better in 2019.
The serious downtime period was detected from 2 Dec 2019 to 24 Dec 2019 (98.8%) was reported for all this time.
Response time also stayed in the range of 600ms – 700ms during the period.
Totally web hosting provider has 1600 IPs (on average) for 2 years, but the number of domains was decreased. PowWeb is losing its market position.
