HostPapa got 4.0 HRank rating in 2018 and, thus, appeared on the 151st position on our list; in 2019 – 7.0 HRank and 71th position.
In our experience, they had some major downtime problems. Since we started monitoring in August 2018 and till December 2018, they had at least five downtime cases as bad as 74-75%; this is not a good sign for a company that hosts more than 50,000 domains on Shared IPs only. The 2019 year was not so bad.
HostPapa’s response time also tended to go from bad to worse: it started with 900ms – 1,000ms in August 2018, and in the end of 2018 was even slower – 1,300ms on average. In 2019 the average response time was 1,000ms.
The provider had a tendency of losing domains.
Surely, you can try and use HostPapa web hosting for various projects, as well as for sites with a large number of visitors, however, keep in mind that there are, perhaps, better options at the moment.
