AXSpace is another dark horse in our list – simply because it’s in the industry since 2007 and there is not much information to be found. And also because its rank is one of the best among the hostings reviewed.

It is a London-based company “working under MogTex Ltd” and it also owns Webhosting-For-Free.com which offers an opportunity for – right – free hosting. Their website is targeted for both British and American customers and their price offers are adjusted accordingly (which is great, by the way, you do not have to rack your brains over all these calculations).

Uptime

We haven’t known anything about AXSpace before we actually started monitoring its performance and here is what we have to say – they are one of the most stable and reliable hostings we’ve encountered. They have [uptime]% of uptime and it’s much better than many other famous names in the industry can boast. Response Time

But uptime is not really the only thing about AXSpace – response time statistics is even better! Well, for us it was definitely an indication. They are definitely fast. And by fast, we mean real fast – have a look at their average response time for the last month and five months. Impressive, yeah?

Price

We’ve got a below average price range with 3-month, 6-month and 1-year options. The latter is the most advantageous and, strictly speaking, makes much more sense for a website owner. However, no monthly options offered, which might be a minus for some customers. No biennial or triennial plans either. Having a promise of money-back, is a good thing, though.

Support

AXSpace offers a phone number for contacts and ticket system for customers. Their Live Chat is not exactly a live chat but rather you are directed to the contact form page. You leave the inquiry and your email and wait for their answer – which takes time… Long time. That’s to say about general inquiries; regarding their customer tech support – we haven’t had any issues with our projects. All tickets were answered in an hour and problems resolved within 24 hours.

Other Features

Not many additional features here apart from free domain names (for 12-month plans) and website builder software for maintenance. AXSpace started in 2007 and have had pretty much the same appearance all these years. Their overall design can be called successful as it still looks up-to-date (mostly); however, a bit of refreshment might be beneficial especially in regards to the font size and some inner pages with tables.

Yet another company that proves quality over size. None of our projects have been hosted here so far, however, it seems to be a good choice for a next one. Another good thing is that they specifically offer shared linux web hosting and focus on one thing. Thus, they get -1 HRANK for mostly their good performance and pricing.
